Mike Burns, an avid runner who excelled at the collegiate level, was a graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Computer Science. Merging his two passions, running and computers, Burns Computer Services (BCS) was born. Over the years, BCS has brought numerous innovations and technological advancements to the running world.

In 2010, with the introduction of the Apple® iPad™, BCS again developed a way to bring the benefits of this technology to the running community and developed iResults TM, a finish line results display app. When utilizing this technology, Burns noticed the awkwardness of using the electronic tablet without a reliable, sturdy holding device and the idea for Hand-e-holder™ was born.
